The Backrooms
A downloadable mod
You're stuck in the backrooms. How long can you survive?
This mod adds the Backrooms as a stand alone NTT game mode. Wander through procedurally generated corridors, fighting off swarms of entities and collecting weapons and perks, in an attempt to stay alive as long as possible.
Includes
- An endless, randomly generated map. Explore as far as you like!
- Endless waves of lethal entities, out to kill you at any cost.
- Mystery boxes, floor guns, and perk machines that will provide you with equipment to survive.
- A few custom weapons, taking inspiration from the Black Ops Zombies series.
Co-Op encouraged, bring a friend or two to the backrooms with you!
Press "B" in game to skip a wave's downtime period.
If possible, play on NTT beta 9944. Download the 9940 version if not on NTT beta 9944. Be warned, it is fairly untested, runs worse and lacks true seeded random terrain. Use at your own risk.

Install instructions
- Install Nuclear Throne Together.
- Extract the archive into "mods" directory of the game directory.
- On character screen, press T, "/load backrooms", Enter
- Start a game to automatically load into the backrooms.

tutorial please how to dowload the mod
Download the mod and put in in your MODS folder in your Nuclear Throne Together folder. Open NuclearThroneTogether.exe and, in the character screen, write in the chat (T):
if the mod is one file:
/loadmod (name of the mod).
If is a folder, it has a main.txt. So put:
/load (folder)/main.txt.
If you want to make it load automatically everytime, create in your MODS folder a "startup.txt" file and put the commands in it.

It puts me into YV's palace every time I start the game, playing on version 9944
Edit:Apparently it's because I was playing as YV, if you join as any other character it works fine
That should be normal, if you exit palace, you should go to the backrooms after.
Whenever i just walking in corridors, something insta-kills me and i need to relaunch the game. Also, can you tell me file where IDPD spawning in backrooms is coded? I would like to disable it for myself, they are very annoying.
It looks like the insta-kill bug is a result of v100. This is something that I will hopefully patch soon, so sorry about that. As for idpd, comment out lines 1812 to 1820 in backrooms.mod.gml, that should remove their spawns.

wrote that couldn't find instance "-4" of backrooms.mod.gml on Line 1694, column 7. Checked it and there wasnt any instance of -4.
this doesn't seem to work? i followed the instructions 100% but when i start the game it just puts me in the desert.
i'm on NTT 100.006 [the one that's on the ntt_development branch of nuclear throne] if that helps
NTT 100.006 isn't the most stable as of current. I would recommend you use NTT version 9944 instead.
